Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Prepares for U.S. Expansion Through Franchising

LONDON, March 31, 2025 (WHERE & WHAT TO EAT) — Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has announced the completion of its Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD), allowing the group to begin seeking U.S. franchise partners for its Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza brands.

According to the company, the filings represent a strategic step toward growth in the American market. The group currently operates 94 owned and licensed restaurants globally, including 35 locations in North America.

Franchising marks a shift in the company’s expansion strategy. Previously, the brand focused on owned or licensed locations, such as those operated through partnerships like the one with Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The company is nowtargeting major metropolitan areas and intends to establish at least 12 franchise agreements across the U.S. over the next five years. Franchise development consultant Catesby will assist in the outreach and development process.

“We have been operating owned and licensed restaurants in North America for many years, where we currently have 35 restaurants. Franchising is the next natural step in a market where Gordon has a clear fan base, and both Gordon and I have ambitions to expand the business. We have an established management team and infrastructure in North America to support future growth, and we are now looking for partners who want to deliver a true Gordon Ramsay experience. We are excited to start this process with Catesby having successfully completed our franchise disclosure documents,” said Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants.
